How to design your custom fabric bags as a promotional item

1. Choose the measurements of your fabric bag
The first measurement refers to the width, the second to the height, and if you want a gusset or base, it will be your third measurement.
You can also specify the length of the handles/straps. Remember that for the width of the handles, you have two possibilities, 2.5 and 3 cm. There are also various types of materials for the handles/straps, such as cotton ribbons, polyester, or leather.

Cotton Bag
Cotton is the most used fabric in the manufacturing of fabric bags for promotional gifts.
At La Bolsa o La Vida, we work with 100% natural cotton without any treatment.
It has a weight of approximately 140gr/m²; a quality fabric perfect for reusable bags.
Bolsa de Loneta
We make our canvas fabric bags using 100% natural cotton fabric, free of treatment.
The difference with cotton bags is the weight, in this case, it is thicker.
Canvas bag production is done with a weight of over 200g/m², which means high resistance, the ideal option for the most durable bag.
Non-Woven Bags
Our non-woven fabric bags are made of an environmentally friendly polypropylene that does not use water in its production process and has a simple recycling method.
They offer great durability, weight resistance, waterproofness, and can support up to 14 ink colors for printing; all at low cost, which makes "non-woven" bags a great option for combining low-cost and sustainable advertising.
3. What finish do you want for your custom fabric bag?

Type of handles:
This is usually the difference between a fabric bag and a fabric sachet, or a combination of both.
Long Handle
We consider a handle to be long starting from 60 cm, designed to be carried over the shoulder making the product suitable for everyone. It is the most requested handle type and the one used in the classic Tote Bag.
Short Handle
Up to a maximum of 50 cm, it can be considered as a short handle. Perfect for carrying as a handbag or for small fabric bags.
Shoulder strap
It's a shoulder strap when it measures from 80 cm, which provides a different style to the bag. It can be carried over the shoulder or as a cross-body strap depending on the size you choose.
Wide strap
With a width between 3.5 to 5 cm starting from the standard strap. Then you can choose between several types of ribbon or cord to create your personalized and different bag.
Cord
When we make your bag, we can use a single or double cord, and you can choose from a wide range of colors at no extra cost.
Strap with cord
You can choose this combination and add a strap with cord. You can also choose whether you want it with or without an eyelet and terminal or the opposite.
Closure Types:
You can add one of the following closure types to your article: zipper, velcro, magnetic snap, or ask us for any other idea.

4. How do you want to print your fabric bags?
We offer different types of printing so that customization of your fabric bags can best fit the design you send us. It will depend on the number of colors or details in the design, bag material, or specific sewing details.
Flat Inks - Screen Printing
For your screen-printed fabric bags, we go through an artisanal process that transfers ink through a stretched mesh on a frame, commonly known as a screen. Through a chemical process, we block the part of the mesh we don't want the ink to pass through. The ink will only pass through the area of your logo or design.
In screen printing, we work with flat inks, that is, with solid colors, without gradients or shadows.
Halftone - Screen Printing

Cuatricomía
Cuatricomía is a printing process that is carried out using printing dots, achieving a very wide range of colors. The result is very faithful to a photograph, but it should be taken into account that on fabric the result will never be as sharp as that of a print on paper.
Digital printing
Direct digital textile printing is at the forefront of available printing techniques. There is no limit when it comes to stamping. Complex and very colorful designs can be made.

Pearlescent and metallic inks
With pearlescent inks, you can highlight specific areas of your design by giving them a shiny effect. Metallic inks are made up of metallic pigment particles such as bronze, copper, or aluminum, which will give a distinguished air to the product.
